Hello everyone. As you may know, AlterIWNET, the famous community behind the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 modifications was shut down following a Cease and Desist notice from Activision. After the shut down, the community was divided into two. NTAuthoruty, the main coder of AlterIWNET projects started his own community named FourDeltaOne or FD1 and they developed COD MW2 multiplayer modification tool known as IW4M which allowed dedicated server setup, mod support, extra maps etc. After the shutdown of AlterIWNET, FourDeltaOne's IW4M is now famous among die-hard COD gamer.

Now the FD1 community has released Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 modification tool known as IW5M, which supports all features of IW4M. IW5M is just like IW4M with some extra features like friend list, server-side statistics etc. In this tutorial, I will show you how to play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Online using FourDeltaOne's IW5M tool.

Note : This tool is not supposed to be used with pirated copies. It has steam check which will not allow you to play using pirated copy. (Tip :> Want to play without Steam? Read below. Still, I don't support piracy.)

Step 1
Preparing everything.
Install Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
Download IW5M files from here.
Go to FourDeltaOne ( Click here ) and register for an account. If you already played IW4M on FD1, then you don't need to create a new account. Remember that all your statistics are tied to this account and not with your computer.
Make sure Steam is up and running on your computer.

Step 2
Extract iw5m-client.zip file and copy the two files named - DBNetwork.Indigo.dll and LaunchIW5M.exe to your COD MW3 installation folder.

Step 3
Run LaunchIW5M.exe.
It will start downloading necessary files and update files as needed.
After it finishes downloading files, it will ask you the FD1 credentials. Enter your FourDeltaOne account name and password. Check the Remember my credentials check-box.

Step 4
That's it. You are now all set to play COD MW3 using FourDeltaOne's IW5M. You can now browse for servers and join any server you like. Use LaunchIW5M.exe every time you want to play IW5M. You can make a shortcut on desktop.

Frequently Asked Questions/Troubleshooting
I am sorry but I have not fully tested IW5M yet. So I won't be able to provide any support on it. There is a nice topic here on FD1 forum which will solve most of your queries.

I want to play COD MW3 IW5M without steam/I get Steam must be running error.
Make a folder named "dEADwOOD" (not exactly as dEADwOOD. Spot the difference between small and caps, the small letters says something, CAPS DON'T. Don't ask me what does this mean, use your brain) in your MW3 installation folder. That's it. I am sorry but I can't just give away the exact folder name as it is related to piracy. I hope you understand why. It is just not that hard to identify what folder you have to make.

How to play CoD MW3 Multiplayer using IW5M on Windows 8?/I can't install IW5M tool on Windows 8.

Windows 8 prevents you from making changes in the drive it is installed. By default C drive. So you won't be able to make changes in any C drive sub folder. So when you try to run LaunchIW5M tool, it will stuck in between and give you an error that this file is being used by another process, and it won't continue.

So to overcome this issue, you should change permission of the CoD MW3 installation directory. To do so, right click on your game installation directory. Remove the tick mark that says Read Only. Click Apply, OK and OK. That's it.

Now run LaunchIW5M again (right click and run as Administrator). It should install without problem an start the game. If it does, then quit the game and right click on LaunchIW5M.exe, go to Properties and click Compatibility tab. Select "Run this program as an administrator" option. Click Apply/OK and double click LaunchIW5M.exe or launch it from start screen to start the game.

How To Downgrade iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS Baseband From 6.15.00 to 5.13.04

Hello everyone. Good news for all those who were stuck on iPad baseband 6.15.00 on their iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS. You probably installed the iPad baseband on your iPhone because you restored to a stock IPSW and ended up upgrading your baseband and lost the ultrasn0w-unlockable baseband. Ultrasn0w supports basebands upto 5.13.04 on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. So the iPad baseband trick came to rescue for all those who upgraded their baseband beyond 5.13.04. Installing the iPad baseband 6.15.00 allowed iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users to unlock using ultrasn0w, so their iPhones won't just become and iPod!

The iPad baseband method to unlock iPhone 3G and 3GS came to rescue, but with a price. The iPhone with iPad baseband installed had to lose the GPS functionality. The iPhone had to be restored with a custom IPSW, while making sure to select the "install iPad" option. This was not convenient and so now finally the iPhone Dev team has released the method to downgrade the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS from iPad baseband to the normal iPhone baseband.

In this tutorial, I will show how to downgrade your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS from iPad baseband to iPhone baseband.

Step 1
Download latest redsn0w for Windows or Mac
Download latest iTunes.
The stock IPSW for the iOS your iPhone is currently on. You would probably have it because you used it to create custom IPSW. If you don't have it, then click here to download.

Step 2
Connect your iPhone to your computer.
Open iTunes and sync it (take backup). Close iTunes.
Run redsn0w.
Click Extras, click Select IPSW. Provide the stock IPSW of your iPhone's current iOS version.
Click Back.

Step 3
Power off your iPhone using the Power button.
Click Jailbreak in redsn0w.
When it shows options, select "Downgrade from iPad baseband" option. Uncheck the Install Cydia option if your iPhone is already jailbroken. Otherwise, select it if you would like to jailbreak your iphone.

Step 4
Click Next.
Now you will be guided to enter Pwned DFU mode, so follow the steps shown in redsn0w.
Once your iPhone is in Pwned DFU mode, the downgrade process will start. You will see the Pwnapple logo (running pineapple) and after that, the flashing of baseband will start.
Do not disconnect your iPhone while the process is ongoing. The "Flashing Baseband" process takes about 10 minutes to complete and no progress is shown on screen. So be patient.
When the process is finished, your iPhone will reboot.

Step 5
Check the new baseband.
Go to Settings - General - About and check "Modem Firmware". It should be 5.13.04.

Step 6
Now open Cydia.
Uninstall ultrasn0w and re-install it (or simply upgrade it if you are not on the latest version). Also re-install Mobile Substrate if you are having no signal or your iPhone is crashing.

Step 7
Check the GPS functionality. Open Maps and check the GPS function. It should work fine now.

Yo everyone, wazzuppp!!! This post is for all those AlterIWNet Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 lovers. As you may know, AlterIWNet, the community famous for its modding of Call of Duty MWF2, was shut down due to the Cease and Desist notice they received from Activision. All that belonged to AlterIWnet - their server, forums etc had to shutdown to avoid legal actions against them. After AlterIWNet shutdown their operations, the AlterIWNet community was divided into two. Almost all core members of the AlterIWNet project started a new community named AlterGaming where they will keep the community alive and develop their own FPS game. While NTAuthority, the main coder of the AlterIWNet started a new community as FourDeltaOne to continue the AlterIWnet project the legal ways.

If you are among those who missed AlterIWNet badly, and prayed that it could come back anyway it could, good news for you is that NTAuthority and his team has done the great job to bring back the old AlterIWnet fun! While NTAuthority left the AlterIWNet scene, he made the decision to continue the AlterIWNet project in legal ways, as he knew what went wrong with AlterIWNet project that allowed Activision to label it as "illegal". That is why he founded FourDeltaOne. The FourDeltaOne team has worked hard to bring back the AlterINWet project in legal ways and they have succeeded. They have released the IW4M Updater and Installer a few days ago which will allow you to play Call of Duty Modern Warfae 2 online on dedicated servers, just like AlterIWNet did. It also supports features such as mod support, custom textures etc just like AlterIWNet. So in this tutorial, I will try to explain how to use IW4M and play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer online.
Note : This tutorial is not intended to work with pirated copies of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Step 1
Preparing everything you need.
Install Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on your computer if not already installed. It should not have previous mods. If it does, then uninstall it and install a fresh copy.
Download IW4M installer from here.
Go to FourDeltaOne (Click Here) and register an account. Remember that your username will be used as your display name in the game too. And all your stats like rank, XP, guns, attachments, class etc will be synced with your account. So you can play on any computer with your username and you will have your data there.

Step 2
Run InstallIW4M.exe.
Click Browse button and navigate to the Modern Warfare 2 installation folder and select it.

Now the IW4M installer will download and install files as needed.

Once the download is finished, it will show the confirmation message.

Step 3
Run "Play IW4M (Modern Warfare 2)" from the start menu.
Now the updater will start updating files as necessary.

Step 4
After the updater finishes updating files, it will ask you for username and password. If it does not, then run "Play IW4M (Modern Warfare 2)" from start menu again.
In the username and password fields, enter your FourDeltaOne forum login details.
Check the Remember credentials check box if you don't want to enter login details every time you run the game.
Press OK and your game will start.

Step 5
Game On!
Now you are all set to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer online, along with thousands of other people online.
Click Browse Servers and it will show the dedicated server available.
You can set the game type as needed.
Double click on a server name to join the game and the game will start.

So this is it. You are all done. Bring back your old AlterIWNet memories. Play the game and have fun.

FourDeltaOne - Frequently Asked Questions/Troubleshooting
I am sorry but I will not be providing any troubleshooting for this as this is relatively new and I have yet to test it out to learn more about possible bugs. FourDeltaOne forum has a nice, detailed thread on all possible errors and bugs and their fixes. So visit this thread to learn how to solve your problems. If you have any problems running the game, you should and ask the community. They will solve your problems for sure.

My friend wants to play on my computer with his username. How do I configure his account replacing mine?
Go to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 installation folder. Find this file - iw4m.ini. Open it with notepad and remove your username and password. Enter your friend's username and passwords there and save and close the file. Now run "Play IW4M (Modern Warfare 2)". Your friend will get his stats there now.

If you want to change the account again, follow the same method and enter your username and password in iw4m.ini.

How To Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock iPhone on iOS 5.1.1 - A Step By Step Tutorial

Hello everyone. As you may know, the latest untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 has been released. In my last tutorial, I explained how to jailbreak your device on iOS 5.1.1. If you don't have official SIM for your iPhone, you will not be able to activate it after restoring. So now in this tutorial, I will explain how to Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock your iPhone on iOS 5.1.1.

Please note that I have used some old screen shots to save bandwidth. It does not affect the process at all.

This tutorial is not for iPhone 4S as iPhone 4S is not yet supported.

Step 1
Downloading everything.

Download iOS 5.1.1 IPSW for your iPhone. Be careful while downloading and download IPSW only for your device. Click here to download IPSW.
Download sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 or greater. Click here.

Step 2
Creating custom IPSW.

Step 2.1
Run sn0wbreeze.

Click OK. Click Next.

Step 2.2
Click Browse for an IPSW and browse to the IPSW you downloaded. Your IPSW will be verified and sn0wbreeze will show you the version. Make sure it is correct. If you have iPhone 3GS, it will ask if it is old or new bootrom. Select appropriate option. Click Next.

Step 2.3
Select Expert Mode.

Step 2.4
Now click General and click Next button.

Step 2.5
Click the Activate iPhone (hactivate) option. Leave everything as it is and click Next, Next and Next.

Now click Build IPSW and click Next.

Now sn0wbreeze will start creating a custom IPSW. Wait for the process to finish.

Step 3
Entering Pwned DFU mode.

Once sn0wbreeze finishes the process, it will ask you if you want to enter Pwned DFU mode. Click yes. Now sn0wbreeze will guide you to enter Pwned DFU mode, so you can restore using the custom IPSW. Click Start and follow the steps shown. After successfully entering Pwned DFU mode, you can close sn0wbreeze.

Step 4
Restoring using custom IPSW.

Open iTunes. Hold Shift button and click Restore. Release Shift key. Browse to Desktop and select the IPSW you just created using sn0wbreeze.

Now iTunes will start restoring your device. After restore is complete, your iPhone is already Jailbroken and Activated.

After the restore process is finished, you can proceed to the next step to unlock your iPhone. So first finish the steps displayed on your iPhone and get to the home screen.

Step 5
Unlocking your iPhone.

There are three method of unlocking your iPhone. First is software unlock - ultrasn0w and second is hardware unlock using Gevey SIM or R-SIM. The third one is with saved SAM unlock tickets.

Step 5 A
Unlocking using ultrasn0w.

Note : ultrasn0w can unlock particular iPhone models and basebands. So if your iPhone meets the following requirements, you can use ultrasn0w to unlock it.

ultrasn0w requirements - iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, or iPhone 4 with baseband - 01.59.00 (in iPhone 4) 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 (in iPhone 3G and 3GS). If you used iPad basbeand 06.15.00 on your iPhone 3GS, you can unlock too.

Configure Wi fi on your iPhone if not already done.
Now open Cydia and search for ultrasn0w and install it.
Reboot your iphone and you are done.

Step 5 B
Unlocking using Gevey or R-SIM.
Follow steps as described by the SIM interposer manufacturer. It is also possible that it may not support iOS 5.1.1 yet.

Step 5 C
Unlocking using saved SAM Unlock tickets.
If you unlocked using the SAM unlock method, and have backed up the Lockdown folder, you can now use it to unlock your iPhone.

Open Cydia and install SAM.

Now open SAM and click Revert Lockdown to stock.

Close SAM and connect your iPhone to your computer.

Use an iPhone browser like DiskAid and browse to the /var/root/Library and delete the Lockdown folder there.

Now copy the Lockdown folder you backed up to /var/root/Library. If you used redsn0w to backup Lockdown, you will have the folder in .zip format so unzip it and then copy the Lockdown folder to /var/root/Library/ on your iPhone.

Reboot your iPhone. Open SAM and disable it.

Reboot your iPhone again and you should see signal bar soon.

Good news everyone. The latest untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is out now. This time again pod2g is the magician behind this jailbreak pleasure. pod2g and the chronic dev team has released the very latest iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak at Hack in The Box conference Amsterdam as expected. So if you were one of those waiting for an untethered jailbreak for your iDevice on iOS 5.1.1, your wait overs now. pod2g was working on iOS 5.1 untethred jailbreak since a few weeks and when Apple released iOS 5.1.1, he tested his exploits with 5.1.1 too. Hopefully his exploits have worked in iOS 5.1.1 too and here is the untethered jailbreak today.

• Absinthe2.0.2 MacOSX (10.5, 10.6, 10.7)

How to jailbreak iOS 5.1.1?

A) If you are already on iOS 5.1.1, without having tethered jailbreak.

Step 1
Connect your device to iTunes and sync it (or right click on your device name and click backup). It will make sure you have the latest backup. Close iTunes after backup is complete.

Step 2
Now go to Settings – General – Reset – Erase all Content and Settings on your device. You will have to do this as it will make jailbreak process faster.

Step 3
Keep your device connected to computer. Open Absinthe. It will extract files now (on Windows, not sure about the others). After extracting files, there will be a folder named "absinthe-win-2.0" in the Absinthe folder itself. Open that folder and run absinthe.exe.

Step 4
Click Jailbreak and wait for the process to complete. Make sure you do not disconnect your device.

Step 5
After jailbreak successfully completes and your device reboots, open iTunes and right click on the device name. Click Restore from Backup and select the backup you created before jailbreaking. This will get you your data back.



B) If you are already on iOS 5.1.1, having tethered jailbreak.
If you are already having a tethered jailbreak on iOS 5.1.1, then open Cydia and search for "Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether". Install "Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 Untether" and reboot. You are done.

C) If you are not on iOS 5.1.1.
If you are not on iOS 5.1.1 already but wish to upgrade and jailbreak iOS 5.1.1, then restore your device using a custom iOS 5.1.1 IPSW. After restoring, use method A) above to jailbreak your device.

How to unlock my iPhone on iOS 5.1.1?
You can unlock your iPhone on iOS 5.1.1 if you have preserved unlockable baseband. Current ultrasn0w unlock supports a few basebands. If you have unlcokable basebamd, then open Cydia, search for ultrasn0w and install it. Reboot your device and you are done.

ultrasn0w requirements - iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, or iPhone 4 with baseband - 01.59.00 (in iPhone 4) 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 or 05.13.04 (in iPhone 3G and 3GS). If you used iPad basbeand 06.15.00 in past, you can unlock too.

If you don't have ultrasn0w unlockable device or basbeand, you can try R-SIM or Gevey SIM. Make sure they supports iOS 5.1.1 and your iPhone's baseband.

I don't have official SIM, how do I activate my iPhone?
You have to wait until iH8sn0w release latest sn0wbreeze. It will allow you to activate your device without official SIM.

How To Unlock Any iPhone Using Subscriber Artificial Module : SAM

Hello everyone. In this tutorial today, I will describe the method of unlocking any iphone using Subscriber Artificial Module (SAM). To unlock using SAM, you will not need any hardware like SIM interposer (for example - Gevey SIM). This method is tested working on brand new iphone 4S too. So what are you waiting for. Read below to learn How to unlock your iphone using SAM.

The SAM Unlock Method is Tested working on :
iphone 4S - T-Mobile (Courtesy of MuscleNerd)
iPhone 3GS - Vodafone UK (My personal)

Update : Apple has possibly fixed this unlock method. This may will prevent any new unlocks via SAM. If you unlocked in past using SAM and backed up your Lockdown folder, you can still unlock in future. But no new unlocks using SAM can be done now.

If you follow this tutorial and got a working unlock, please let me know your iPhone Model, iOS version and baseband version so I can add it up here in tested Working List.

Requirements :
Any jailbroken and activated (or hactivated) iPhone which is not blacklisted by Apple (which can be activated).
Name of the carrier your iphone is locked to.
Internet Connection.

Please Note : This method unlocks your iPhone for SIM that you insert while the process. If you want to use any other SIM in future, you will need to follow the process again.

Please note that this is very newly discovered method. If you see any error or malfunction during or after following this method, please report them so the bugs can be fixed.

How to unlock your iphone using SAM?

Step 1
Installing SAM from Cydia.
Open Cydia - Go to Manage - Repository.
Tap Edit and Add.
Type the following - http://repo.bingner.com/
Tap Add. It will now add repo to Cydia.
Once repo is added, go to the bingner repo and select SAM and install it

Step 2
Configuring SAM.
Insert your SIM you want to unlock your iPhone for.
Go to Settings - SAM.
Go to Utilities and tap De-Activate iphone. The confirmation will appear.

Go back and go to more information.
It should display "Unactivated".
Note : If it does not say unactivated, go to utilities again and tap "Revert Lockdown to Stock". Now go and check more information again. It should display "Unactivated".

Now go back and scroll down and go to Method.
Select "By Country and Carrier" and go back.
Now select the country where your iphone in locked (for example, you got your iphone from United Kingdom but you are in India currently, select United Kingdom.

Now go back and select Carrier your iphone is locked to. For example At&T in USA, Vodafone in United Kingdom. If you see more than one carrier of same company and are unsure which to select, just select any of it.

Now go back and select SIM ID and select the available ID. Go back.

Now go to more information and select and copy/write down the IMSI number under SAM Details (do not get confused with SIM Details)

Now tap "Spoof Real SIM to SAM". It should say Spoofed.

Now go back to main screen and go to Method. Select Manual (if not already selected automatically) and paste/enter the IMSI number copied earlier.

Now connect your iphone to your computer and run iTunes. It will start its process of activation. Once iTunes finishes its process, close itunes and unplug your iphone from computer.

If itunes says unsupported SIM, you probably selected wrong carrier or wrong ID from the list. Follow step 2 again.

Now go back to SAM and disable it.

After disabling, close SAM and connect your iphone to iTunes again. It should say iphone can not be activated. It is normal.

Close iTunes now and wait for a minute. Now open iTunes again. Your iphone should be unlocked now and you should see signal bar soon.

After unlocking using this method, make backup of the following folder on your iphone to your computer - /var/root/Library/Lockdown/
This backup will be useful to unlock your iphone in future.

To backup, either use iExplorer, or DiskAid or any other utility which allows you to browse iPhone file system, browse to /var/root/Library/ and Copy Lockdown folder to your computer.

Update : You can also use latest redsn0w to backup your activation keys. To download click here.
Run redsn0w, go to Extras->Even More->Backup to backup your Lockdown folder.

Please note that this is very newly discovered method. If you see any error or malfunction after following this method, please report them so the bugs can be fixed.

How To Create Signed Custom IPSW Using shsh Blobs and Restore Without Error 11

Hello everyone. In this tutorial today, I will describe the method to create a "signed" IPSW using redsn0w and iFaith. A signed IPSW is used to restore to an iOS version Apple has stopped signing. As you may know, once Apple releases a new iOS update, it stops signing previous version. It means you can no longer restore to the version Apple has stopped signing and you must restore to the latest iOS version which will make you lose your jailbreak and unlock. Those who wish to restore to that version must have saved shsh so that they can restore.

Starting from iOS 5.0, Apple has implemented a new method to stop users from restoring to a version no longer being signed. So if Apple has released iOS 5.1 and stopped signing iOS 5.0.1, you can no longer restore to iOS 5.0.1, even using TinyUmbrella and you must restore to iOS 5.1. When you try to restore to iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1, you get "Unknown error has occurred. Error code (11)" message on iTunes and cannot restore.

For those who rely on jailbreaks, this is inconvenient. Because restoring to a version for which untethered jailbreak is released is not a good idea. To overcome this restriction, you can use a "signed" IPSW. Signed IPSW has shsh blobs stitched to it and you no longer need TinyUmbrella to bypass Apple proxy. When you feed this "Signed" IPSW to iTunes, it will accept it and you can restore without any error like error 11.

What this process will do?
After successfully completing this process, you will create a Signed Custom IPSW which will help you restore to a version Apple is no longer signing. This IPSW will preserve your baseband too.

Requirements:

• You must have saved shsh for the iOS version you want to restore to. Example - iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1 (which are not being signed currently as iOS 5.1 is out). They are supposed to be locally stored on your computer.
• You must have proper IPSW for the desired iOS for your iPhone model.
• Download iFaith from here or redn0w from here
• Make sure TinyUmbrella TSS Server is not running.
• Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file with notepad. If any of these lines are there, remove them.

Note: In this tutorial, I will mention only iOS 5.0.1 hereafter. This tutorial will work with 5.0 and later versions too.

Note: This method does not support A5 or later devices.

Step 1 : Creating Signed IPSW.

• There are two methods of creating a Signed IPSW. Using iFaith and using redsn0w. Both tools are great. I will describe both methods below.

Note : If you have already created a custom IPSW but can't restore to iOS 5.0.1, follow method B and provide your custom IPSW. It will not make any changes to your IPSW except stitching shsh blobs to it. It will retain any options you selected (hactivation for example).

A) How to create a Signed IPSW using iFaith by iH8sn0w

• Run iFaith.
• The screen looks like this:

• Click Build *Signed* IPSW w/Blobs button.
• Now browse to the saved shsh and select the shsh blob for iOS 5.0.1. If you saved shsh using TinyUmbrella, they are saved in C:\Users\User Name\.shsh directory. Blobs saved by iFaith have .ifaith extension while TinyUmbrella saves shsh in .shsh extension. You can use any of these.

 

• After you select the shsh blob, iFaith will verify it and show you the iOS version and build and ask you to browse to the IPSW of that iOS IPSW file.

• Now browse for the stock IPSW. Note that iFaith does not support custom IPSW (redsn0w does).
• After selecting the IPSW, it will show credits and is ready to build the signed IPSW for you.
• Click Build IPSW button and it will start building signed IPSW.

• Once iFaith finishes building signed IPSW, it can guide you to enter Pwned DFU mode so you can restore using this signed IPSW. If you want to restore right now, click Proceed button, and follow the instructions to enter Pwned DFU mode. After you enter Pwned DFU mode, you can restore using the signed IPSW, so follow Step 2.2. If you prefer using redsn0w to enter Pwned DFU, or want to restore at a later time, follow Step 2.1 and later.

B) How to create a Signed IPSW using redsn0w

• Run redsn0w. The home screen looks like this :

• Click Extras button. Click SHSH Blobs button. Click Stitch button.

• Now click IPSW button and browse to the IPSW you want to create "Signed" IPSW from. Note that redsn0w accepts custom IPSWs (iFaith doesn't). So you can sign a custom IPSW you created using sn0wbreeze to preserve baseband, jailbreak and/or hactivation.
• Tip : If you want to learn how to create a custom IPSW for iOS 5.0.1 using sn0wbreeze, click here Follow Step 2 there to create a custom IPSW. If you need to hactivate, follow Step 2.b.
• After providing IPSW, click Local button and browse to the shsh folder. By default TinyUmbrella saves shsh in C:\Users\User Name\.shsh directory. If you copied shsh somewhere else, browse to that directory and select shsh file.

• After you provide the shsh blob, redsn0w will start building signed IPSW for you.

• After building signed IPSW, redsn0w will show you the location where the signed IPSW is created. It will be in the same directory from where you provided the IPSW earlier.

Step 2 : Restoring To iOS 5.0.1 Using Signed IPSW.

• Once you create a signed IPSW, you can restore to iOS 5.0.1.

Step 2.1 : Entering Pwned DFU mode.

• In order to use the signed IPSW (or any custom IPSW for tha matter), you need to enter Pwned DFU mode. We will use redsn0w here.
• Run redsn0w and click Extras. Then click Pwned DFU button.
• Now connect your iphone to your computer and Power it off.
• Click Next button and follow steps shown in redsn0w to enter Pwned DFU mode.
• Once in Pwned DFU mode, you are ready to restore using signed IPSW.

Step 2.2 : Doing a restore.

• Open iTunes. It will say it has detected iPhone in Recovery mode. Click OK.
• Now press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard and click restore in iTunes. Release Shift and browse to the signed IPSW. If you used iFaith, it will be on your desktop and if you used redsn0w, it will be in the same folder from where you provided the IPSW to redsn0w.

After providing IPSW, iTunes should restore to iOS 5.0.1 without any errors.
If you used iFaith method or provided stock IPSW in redsn0w, you will need to jailbreak your iPhone. Click here and follow Step 4 there. After jailbreaking, you can follow Unlocking your device steps to unlock your iPhone.
If you provided a custom IPSW in redsn0w, created using sn0wbreeze to jailbreak, you just need to follow Unlocking your device steps.

How To Dual Boot Windows 8 With Windows 7 - A Step By Step Tutorial

Hello everyone. How are you doing? Fine I guess. Today I am going to post a tutorial about installing Windows 8 along side windows 7 and how to dual-boot. As you may know, Microsoft released Windows 8 developer preview a few month ago and Windows 8 Consumer Preview on 29th February. Both these builds are available to download for free from Microsoft Website. If you are eager to try Windows 8 before its actual final release, you can download and try Windows 8 right now.

How to Install Windows 8 along-side Windows 7/Vista and Dual-Boot?

Note - This tutorial will work with any build of Windows 8. You can install Windows Developer Preview, Windows 8 Consumer Preview, and Windows 8 Final build using this tutorial.

Step 1
Checking if your computer can run Windows 8
If your computer can run Windows 7 without any problems, then it can run Windows 8 too.

Here are the System Requirements for Windows 8

• Processor: 1 Gigahertz (GHz) or faster
• RAM: 1 Gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit)
• Hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
• Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device or higher

Step 2
Downloading Windows 8

• Download Windows 8 Consumer Preview from Here.
• You can also try Windows 8 developer preview but the evacuation period of developer preview ends on 8th March so it is not worth installing just for a few days. So until the download finishes, let's move to the next step.

Step 3
Creating a new Partition

• Now we are going to create a new partition for Windows 8.
• To create a new partition, go to Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Storage - Disk Management (Local).
• Once in Disk Management,  you can see the status of your current hard disk(s). If you have 20 GB of unallocated space or Free Space, right-click on it and click create a new simple volume.
• If you don't have any unallocated space, you need to shrink a Volume. So select a Partition on which you have the most free space, and right-click on it. Now select Shrink Volume.

• Now enter the amount in MB to shrink. We want 20 GBs so we will enter 21504 MB. 21504 MB means 21 GB, but the actual size of the partition may differ after formatting it. So we will give more than 20 GB space.

• Alright, after you have shrunken down a volume, you now have 21 GBs of free space. So you can create a new Partition now. So right-click on the Free-Space, and click Create a New Simple Volume. Now click next, next again, assign a drive letter to the new volume as desired, click next.
• Now on the next screen, select NTFS as File System (already selected by default), keep the allocation unit size to default, give a label to the new volume - for example, Windows 8 or simply erase the name if you do not wish to give a name to the new volume.

• Now make sure the "Perform a quick Format" check-box is selected. Now click next.
• Confirm the summary displayed and click Finish.
• Now you have a new volume on which Windows 8 can be installed.  Let's move to the next step.

Step 4
Creating the Windows 8 installation media

• After the Windows 8 consumer preview ISO has finished downloading, you can create a installation media from which you can install Windows 8.
• You have two choices. Create a new DVD, or create a bootable Flash drive/Pen Drive/USB key. In my opinion, you should choose the second option, which is more economical at this point. Because this is not the actual Windows 8, it is just a preview, so why waste a DVD if you can create a bootable flash drive, and even use it later after installing Windows 8. Your choice though.

Step 4.a
Creating a bootable DVD

• If you choose to create a bootable DVD, just burn the ISO to a blank DVD using any disk burning utility like Nero, Power ISO or Ultra ISO. After the burn process finishes, you can move to the next step.

Step 4.b
Creating a bootable Flash Drive/Pen Drive/USB Key

• If you wish to create a bootable USB media, you need to download Windows 7 USB/DVD creator tool. To download, click Here (size - 2.60 MB). 
• Note - To run this utility, you need to have .Net Framework 2.0 or greater installed on your computer.
• The file you will download is in .ZIP format. So extract it to a folder using any archiver like WinZIP or WinRAR or similar utility.
• After you extract the file, run it and install it.
• After the installation finishes, launch the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool from desktop or start menu.
• Now browse to the Windows 8 ISO file you downloaded earlier and select it. Click Next.

• Now select USB device.

• Now from the drop-down list, select your Flash-drive. Note that the USB drive should be atleast 4 GB or larger in size.

• Now click Begin copying. The tool now begins creating the bootable USB pen drive. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.

Step 6
Installing Windows 8

• So finally the Windows 8 installation step comes. To begin the installation, reboot your computer.
• Before you can boot from the installation media (DVD or USB) you need to set boot order first.
• So when your computer boots up and shows motherboard manufacturer's logo, press the shown key to enter your computer's BIOS settings. The key normally is F2 or Del.
• Once in the BIOS settings, find something like boot order. Note that different BIOS have different option. You need to find something like boot order there.
• Now set your computer's DVD drive as the first boot device.
• If you created USB bootable media, find the option that says - Boot USB device first.
• Now save the settings and exit from the BIOS. Now your computer will reboot.
• Now when it says press any key to boot from the DVD, press any key to enter Windows 8 setup.

Step 7
Now the Windows 8 installer starts. The Windows 8 setup is very similar to Windows 7. So you will find it familiar.

• Now select the language, and click Install Now.
• Now when asked, click Custom Installation.
• Now you will see the list of your partitions. See the partition you created earlier? This is where we will install Windows 8. So select the partition, and click format. Click Yes or OK when it asks you really want to format the volume.
• Once the format process completes, click Next and Windows 8 will start installing.
• Wait for the installation process to finish. It will not take more that 15 or 20 minutes.
• After the Windows 8 installation finishes, it will reboot once or twice. And you will see the Windows 8 Welcome screen. But wait, we have created dual-boot didn't we? So it will first show you the installed operating systems under Choose Operating System.
• Select the operating system you wish to boot into and it will boot Windows 8 or Windows 7 - whichever you choose. Note that if you choose windows 7, it will reboot your computer and then boot into Windows 7.

Step 8
Making Windows 7 default operating system.

• Now if you want to make Windows 7 the default operating system, you can select Change defaults or Choose other options in the Choose an operating system window. Now you can set Windows 7 as the default operating system there.
• When you want to boot into windows 8, you need to choose Windows 8 from the list while booting up your computer.

Okay so now you have installed Windows 8 along with Windows 7. Enjoy Windows 8 until the evacuation period expires and wait for the final release. Let me know of any problems and your expirienes with Windows 8.

How To Delete Your Facebook Account Permenantly - A Step By Step Guide

Hello everyone. Many days passed since my last post. I thought I should post something and so I decided to post about deleting a Facebook account permanently. Facebook is the world's largest social networking website with over 840 million active users, being operated by over 3000 employees. Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and friends in year 2004 and since then, it has become very popular all over the world. It dominates the rivals like orkut (orkut? something like this even exists?) and google+ by a large margin.

So if Facebook is so popular, why would anyone wish to delete his/her account? Well, there are many reasons. Some don't like Facebook's privacy policy and privacy settings, some wish to move to other social networking websites like google+, some want to take part in protests like "Leave Facebook" or something and want to delete their account along with other large amount of users, some are just bored with facebook and want to move on, or some are under medical counseling, and the doctor told them to stay away from facebook, or some simply want to get rid of it. Your reason for deleting your facebook account can be any, if you want to learn how to delete your facebook account permanently, read on.

How Do I Delete My Facebook Account Permanently?

Step 1
Log in to your facebook account.
After logging into facebook, if you want to, you can take a look at your friends' status updates, new photos of their puppies or kittens, newly done hairstyle or nail art, stupid one liners, famous quotes etc. Once you are done, move to Step 2.

Step 2
Now think about your wish to delete your facebook account. It is possible that you change your mind after looking at your friends' (useless) status updates. You may get emotional and press that "like" button. If you really wish to get rid of your account, do not press that like button. Try to refrain yourself from pressing that like button. You are leaving facebook. Try to get rid of this bad habit of pressing that like button. Hold your self, take a deep breath, get up from your chair and take a walk. Now once you get over your emotions and move to Step 3. Before that, you may want to tell your friends that you are leaving facebook, forever, and you will never come back. Wave a last goodbye to your friends and if you are going to join another social networking site, mention that in your message.

Step 3
Deleting your assets.
Now it is time to delete everything what belongs to you.

First, delete your photo albums. You should keep in mind that facebook doesn't guarantee that all your facebook photos will be removed permanently from their servers as soon as you delete them from your account, but they say they do remove them on regular basis. You know what? I don't really trust these guys. Your deleted photos may disappear from your facebook profile, but they are still visible through a direct link (one more reason for me to hate facebook). If you thought your intimate photos with your boyfriend(s!) will be deleted from facebook once you delete them from your profile, you are wrong. They will stay on facebook's servers unless they actually remove them from there.

We don't know when they will remove your photographs, but we are going to delete them all.
Now we will delete other personal information like your phone/mobile number, secondary e-mails. address etc. You can remove every information you wish.

Now remove privileges you have given to third party apps. Remove every app which have access you your facebook profile, which an post messages on your wall etc. Done? Let's move to Step 4.

Step 4
Now the actual account deleting process starts.
See a down arrow in top right corner of your facebook profile? Click it. Now click Help.

Step 5
In the help box, type delete and you will see a list of related help topics. Click "how do I permanently delete my account?". We are going through help section because it is possible that facebook change the layout. If we go through help, it will always take us where we actually need to go.

Now you will see the help on how you an delete your facebook account permanently. Read that information and click the link that says "submit your request here".

Now you will see a box that displays Delete my account button. Before continuing, you may want to re-consider your decision of deleting your account permanently. There is no come back after this. So hold your emotions, and don't cry. "It's okay.." If you do not wish to delete your facebook account, you can press the "Cancel" button. If you have made decision to delete your account, it is the time to press "Delete my account" button. "Do it corporal !!"

Now you will see a box that displays warning that you are about to delete your facebook account permanently and blah blah! Read it. Now provide your facebook account password and type-in the captcha, and press the OK button.

After you press the OK button, your facebook account will be de activated and request to delete your account will be submitted to facebook. Read the confirmation message and press OK.

Alright corporal! Your job is done. Your account has been de-activated from facebook, and it will take 14 days to delete your account from facebook completely. De-activated account means if you login to facebook within these 14 days, you have an option to re-activate your facebook account and you will get your facebook account back, just as you left it. I know you don't want it back. Am I right? So, do not log-in to facebook in these 14 days. Try to convince yourself that you are not using facebook anymore. Close your browser, and delete your cookies, remove facebook from bookmark and anywhere else you have it. When you wake up next morning, remember not to log in to facebook to check if anyone commented on your cute pic you posted last night! Remove facebook from your mind, completely. If you can't hold your self back, shout "I am not using facebook anymore" "I am not using facebook anymore". You will feel better.

Okay, so now when your facebook account is finally deleted, you can move to another website. You can feel like having burden gone from your mind now. Alright. So that was it. How to delete facebook account permanently. Will be back with more post later. Until then, keep rocking.
