FIFA World Cup 2018 Will Be The Best Ever - Vladimir Putin


The Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held a press-conference in Zurich after Russia was awarded the right to host the World Cup 2018 where he thanked FIFA and promised a visa-free regime for guests of the sporting spectacle. Putin stressed that Russia deeply respects those who lost the competition to host the World Cup and expressed no doubts that they would conduct the championship brilliantly and promised that next time it will be Russia’s turn to support their bids.

Asian Games: Somdev Devvarman wins seventh gold for India in Tennis

Somdev Devvarman wins first gold for India in tennis in Asian games .defeated Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 6-1, 6-2 to clinch India's seventh gold at the Asian Games on Tuesday.

This Indian Tennis star had also won gold in doubles in pairing with Sanam singh on Monday.

In the men's singles semifinal match, showing a lot of spunk and fighting spirit, India's No 1 player Somdev came back from the brink to subdue Japanese rival Tatsuma Ito to reach the final on Monday.

Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab Kicked Out : IPL Terminates Contracts

The Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council terminated the contract of two teams - Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.

"The Governing Council of the IPL met today to discuss and decide on the breaches committed by three of the franchisees, K.P.H. Dream Cricket Pvt. Ltd., the owners and promoter of the Kings XI Punjab cricket team, Jaipur IPL Cricket Pvt. Ltd and the unincorporated joint venture holding the Kochi franchise," the IPL Governing Council said in a statement.

New Zealand, Australia Happy With Games Village : A Big Relief For Organizers

After raising concerns on safety and hygiene, Australian and New Zealand were extremely happy with the Athletes' Village and also confirmed their participation for the Oct 3-14 Games.

Australian Commonwealth Games Association (ACGA) chief executive Perry Crosswhite was happy with the facilities at the Games Village that was earlier termed filthy and unlivable by the delegates.


Delhi Should Not Have Got Commonwealth - Australia Olympic Committee President

Australia Olympic Committee president John Coates said on Friday that Delhi should not have been awarded the Commonwealth Games. This statement has increased the pressure on already-in-pressure Indian organizers struggling to prepare the scandal-hit event.

"But the people who will decide whether we should be there is Steve Moneghetti, the chef de mission, and Perry Crosswhite, the secretary-general of the Australian Commonwealth Games federation." He further said.

Coach Told Me Its Good To Have Sex: T S Ranjitha

The sexual saga begun in Indian Women's Hockey Team is not stopping. The player who alleged the coach of the Indian Hockey Team for sexual harassment  have come out in public and have revealed more of her shocking story. Her name is T S Ranjitha. Ranjitha said to media yesterday that the coach M K Kaushik used to talk disgustingly with her. He told Ranjitha that it's good to have sex.

Another sex scandal has shocked India. This time its the Indian Women's Hockey Team. The coach of Indian Women's Hockey Team M K Kaushik was accused by a hockey player of sexual harassment. The coach resigned today (21st July). He said that it was a conspiracy against him and the allegations were baseless and the truth will come out after the inquiry.

Fifa world cup 2010 Closing Ceremony sets the scene

Football fans around the world are glued to their televisions tonight as Spain and the Netherlands do battle in Johannesburg for a first-ever world title.

However, while the FIFA World Cup Final is unquestionably the main course on South Africa's menu this evening, supporters have also been treated to a spectacular starter. Less than two hours before the grand finale, a sell-out crowd inside Soccer City Stadium as well as an audience of hundreds of million across the globe were wowed by a colourful ceremony to celebrate the successful conclusion of a memorable first FIFA World Cup on African soil.
