Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010. The biggest sports event ever hosted by India. A thing to take pride of for Indians. Hundreds of elite athletes will land in India soon. What a moment it will be when so many international players will be showing their talents and fighting for the medals. What a moment it will be when the participants will say "Wow! India has been a great host". India will be in top lead for hosting such events. The world will recognize India has a brilliant host. The world will remember the hosting India has done.
But wait! Will this ever happen?
The CWG 2010 are in controversies since India became the host. Where thousand of people are dying because of hungriness, crores of people are poor who don't even get to eat food twice a day, poor children and women are dying because they don't get medics at time, how proper it was to bid for hosting such a big event where billions of Rupees will be spend.

Ofcourse this event can make India proud but Imagine a Large sport event just like Olympic or CWG where large stadiums are created, the whole country shining, people being proud for being a part of the nation in which the large even has been hosted. When people come to the country and they shout "Oh my God! This is truly amazing." The same thing happened in China, Greece and Australia in last Olympic events. People were shocked to see brilliantly hosted events by these countries. But when this happen?

This will happen when India is ready for this. At the time of writing this, preparation are still not finish in Delhi. Tragic news are coming daily like fall of a part of stadium, news reporter getting entry with explosives, corruption by authorities, terrorist attack on a tourist bus, terrorists threatening to attack on CWG games etc etc. Every news company is covering the same. A common man can also say that such things can't make India 'Proud'. At this time, India has nothing to take proud of.

Only 10 days are left and so much work is left undone. Nations like New Zealand, Australia and Canada are still undecided to send their athletes to India or not. If some countries pull out, no other moment will be more shameful than this for India. Only a successful completion of the event can make India proud. Atleast proud of that nothing bad happened. Otherwise imagine a ceiling of a stadium breaking down while games are being played, or a foot-bridge falling while people are walking on.. Ridicules, Shocking and Unbelievable. If that ever happen, I doubt India get to host any other big event and any country come to India again.

Days are decreasing and heartbeats are increasing. Let's just hope of that CWG 2010 gets successfully completed without any bad and India becomes a 'Proud' host.
