Did you ever try downloading a comic book off the internet and found files with .cbr extension instead of much universal PDF format? If yes, you probably wanted to convert if to PDF so that you can easily read the comics on almost any device that you use, like your computer, cell phone or tablet right? In this tutorial, I will show you how to convert CBR files to PDF or JPG image easily.
CBR files are RAR archived Comic Book files. They are usually used with digital comic books.
How to convert CBR files to JPG image format?
It is very easy to convert CBR files to JPG image format. Just rename the CBR file and change its extension from .cbr to .rar.
For example - Rename my_comic_book.cbr to my_comic_book.rar
Now extract the RAR archive using any RAR archiver like WinRAR and you will get a folder which will contain all pages of .cbr file with .jpg extension.
How to convert CBR files to PDF format?
This process is almost same. Rename the .cbr file and change its extension to .rar. Extract the rar archive to a folder. This folder will contain .jpg files.
Now download a free utility called JPEGtoPDF from here.
Run JPEGtoPDF and add all .jpg files from the folder where you extracted the rar archive. Select output path where you want to save the converted PDF and its file name. Then click Save PDF button.
JPEGtoPDF will convert your jpg files to PDF format and save it to the location you provided.
This is it. Your .CBR file is now converted to PDF format. Now you can view it on almost every device like your PC, cellphone, tablet etc.
