MuscleNerd, one of the iPhone Dev Team member today confirmed the release of latest ultrasn0w unlock on Twitter. As you may know, the unlock for iOS 4.1 was held release because they wanted to wait for the release of iOS 4.2. Now when the iOS 4.2 is released, it was confirmed that the latest unlock will be released in a few days. I also stated this in my recent post - iOS 4.2 Jailbreak and Unlock that the unlock for iOS 4.1 will be released in a few days. And the day is almost confirmed. The release day will be the next Sunday which they call 'Funday'. "Good progress today...everything is on track for updated ultrasn0w by Sunday/Funday at the latest (longer for iPhone4!)" - MuscleNerd tweeted.
As I told in the post - iOS 4.2 Jailbreak and Unlock, and as the tweet from MuscleNerd suggests, the unlock will be working only on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. iPhone 4 unlock will take time. The iPhone Dev Team has been working on bringing the unlock to iPhone 4 but, it will take time.
So if you are on iOS 4.1 or 4.2.1 on your iPhone 3G/3GS, get ready for the funday - the next Sunday for your unlock. And if you have iPhone 4, then keep patience and wait for your unlock.
