CBI has summoned former Gujarat DGP P C Pandey for questioning in connection with Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. CBI has called Pandey to appear before it on August 11, said CBI officials. P C Pandey was DGP of Gujarat when CID was investigating the fake encounter case. The Supreme Court handed over the fake encounter case to CBI in January this year.
The investigating agency recently arrested former Home Minister of Gujarat - Amit Shah. IPS officer Abhay Chudasama and owner of Arham farm (Where Kausharbi, Wife of Sohrabuddin Was Kept) Rajendra Jirawala were also arrested by CBI. CBI questioned Amit Shah today.(28th July).
It will be interesting to see what happens next in this high-profile case.
