Apple Finally Releases iOS 6.1 : Improves Siri, LTE Support and Bug Fixes : Jailbreak Imminent

Apple has just released iOS 6.1 to public. After the unexpected release of iOS 6.1 beta 5 last Saturday, it was uncertain what Apple was planning to do. It was believed that Apple wanted to test a few thing as the news of iOS 6.1 jailbreak spread out. While not being sure about why Apple released iOS 6.1 beta 5 at the last moment, all everyone have to care about is the final version of ios 6.1.

iOS 6.1 - What's new?
The official iOS 6.1 update page suggests the following changes in iOS 6.1.

LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/)

Purchase movie tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)

iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud

New button to reset the Advertising Identifier

It looks like iOS 6.1 doesn't offer much on our dish as its main aim is to fix bugs and have little improvements. iOS 6.1 update adds adds LTE support for additional carriers. Siri is now able to purchase movie tickets through Fandango in USA. iTunes Match users can download individual songs from iCloud.
There was so much hoopla surrounding the iOS 6.1 final release, not because it would offer new features, but because the release of an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.0.1 was relied on it as jailbreak devs didn't want to release the jailbreak before Apple releases iOS 6.1 final. Now that Apple has finally released iOS 6.1 to public, we just need to wait for final words from jailbreak devs. As soon as Apple released iOS 6.1 final, the information started to come from jailbreaks devs.

@planetbeing tweeted that they are reviewing the publicly available version now.

And minutes after this tweet he tweeted that iOS 6.1 is vulnerable to the exploits they are going to use.

@MuscleNerd also tweeted some good news that the Super Bowl this Sunday! Meaning the jailbreak will be released probably this Sunday. And he also tweeted the domain evad3rs.com that would be used for the public release of the untethered jailbreak.

While it looks like there is no problem in releasing the jailbreak, it still needs to be tested enough to be publicly released. In @planetbeing's words, it needs to be merged, polished and tested before it can be released.

If you are planning to upgrade to iOS 6.1, it is advised that you don't if you are going to jailbreak. And if you must upgrade, then do not use Over The Air updates (Directly from your device) but use iTunes for the same.
